How much does it cost to register?
Nothing, registration is free. You will, however, need to purchase credits to participate in the auctions.
How much does it cost to buy credits?
Credits can be purchased in £5 amounts, up to a value of £100. The minimum purchase is £5.
£1 will purchase 100 Bid4Golf credits.
Credits may also be given away free as part of Bid4Golf promotions and special offers.
How much does the average bid cost?
The average cost per bid is 100 Bid4Golf credits.
The cost per bid varies depending on the value of the auction item and is shown clearly at the top of each auction's listing.
If I lose the auction will my credits be refunded?
No, credits are used to buy bids and will not be refunded at the end of the auction.
Bid4Golf does, however, reserve the right to cancel running auctions in the event of technical problems or suspected fraud. In this case all the participant's credits used in that auction would be refunded in full.

"Credits" - What are they?
Credits are required to bid and can be purchased on the site. Credits may also be given away free as part of Bid4Golf promotions and special offers. Credits are displayed as follows:
100 Credits = £1.00
200 Credits = £2.00
Are Credits required to bid?
Yes, you must have credits in your account before you can bid.
Do l know if my bid is unique?
Yes. You can check the status of your confirmed bids at any time.
What is a Bid?
A bid is a price that you are willing to pay for the product.
Define a unique bid?
A "unique bid" is an amount offered for a purchase by only one registered member and once during the auction.
What happens if l win the auction?
You will have 7 days to purchase the product at the bid price. If you choose not to purchase the product then it will be offered to the next in line winner. There are no exceptions to this rule.
How do l Register?
What age do l have to be to bid?
You must be at least 18, or older depending on the laws of the country in which you reside, no exceptions.
Can l bid without being registered?
No, you must be registered to bid. You must complete the registration page in full and accept our terms and conditions.
How much does it cost to register?

Can I change my registration details?
Yes, all the information can be changed except the following: name, surname, nickname, date of birth and sex.
What do l do if l forget my password and nickname?
Contact us through the "Forgotten Password" link on the website, follow the instructions carefully and a new password will be sent to your email address.
What do l have to do to take part in the auction?
You need to register on the site and buy credits. Once you have an account and credits you can bid in any of the live auctions.
Can my password and nickname be transferred?
No, they are personal to you and cannot be transferred.
Does Bid4golf ever publish the names of registered players?
No.
Can I cancel my registration with Bid4golf?
Yes, and all your personal data will be destroyed.
Can Bid4golf ever cancel a registered player?
Yes, if the terms and conditions are breached. We reserve the right to cancel a registered player's account without recourse.
Credits
What are credits?
Credits allow you to bid in an auction.
Can free credits be used to take part?
Yes. Free promotional credits are treated the same as purchased credits.
Do credits have an expiry date?
No.
Bids explained!
What is a Single Bid?
This is one individual bid for an auction item.
What is a Multiple Bid?
This is a range of single bids covering all the bids from the start bid to the end bid. For example, a range bid from 7 to 12 would place 6 individual bids at 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 pence.
How do you place a bid?
To place a bid enter the amount you want to bid in either the single bid box or in the multiple bid boxes on the auction. All bids must be in pence, without any spaces. For example to bid £2.10, you would enter a bid of 210. Once you confirm your bid, it is accepted by Bid4golf and cannot be reversed. At this point you will be informed of the status of your bids.
Can I find out the status of my bids?
The current auctions page tell you the status of all your bids on the live auctions. They can be:
a) unique and the lowest,
b) unique but not the lowest, or
c) not unique.
You will be told your bid status in real time only once your bid has been accepted and confirmed.
During the auction, is it possible to know the lowest unique bid?
No, unless you have placed the lowest unique bid.
Will the winning price be disclosed?
Yes, after the auction has closed, the lowest unique bid will be published along with the nickname of the lucky bidder.
Is there a limit to the number of bids you can place?
No, providing you have enough credits.
What happens if the winner of the auction does not purchase the product?
If they decide not to purchase the product within 7 days of the auction ending, for whatever reason, then the second lowest unique bid will have the opportunity to buy it at their bid price.
Example:
£0.01 - 8 bids
£0.02 - 1 bid
£0.03 - 7 bid
£0.04 - 4 bids
£0.05 - 9 bids
£0.06 - 2 bid
£0.07 - 1 bid
In this example, the lowest unique bid is of £0.02. If the bidder who placed this bid does not purchase the product within the 7 day period, the product will be offered to the second lowest unique bid, i.e. £0.07.
What happens if there are no unique bids?
If no bidder has the lowest unique bid, then it will be awarded to the bidder who placed the first bid at the price placed by the lowest number of bidders.
Example:
£0.01 - 45 bids
£0.02 - 32 bids
£0.03 - 44 bids
£0.04 - 43 bids
£0.05 - 42 bids
£0.06 - 37 bids
The lowest bid with the lowest number of bidders is £0.02. The member who first placed the bid of £0.02 has the right to buy the product. If the bidder who placed this bid does not buy the product within the 7 day period, then the product will be offered to the bidder who was second to bid £0.02.
Can a bid be withdrawn?
No.
Can an auction item be withdrawn?
Yes, if a problem occurs with the product in the auction, then we reserve the right to withdraw the product and return the credits to the bidders.
What is the minimum bid that will be accepted for a product?
The minimum bid is £0.01.
How do I buy credits?
Credits can be bought by debit card or credit card. Credits purchased by credit card/debit card are immediately credited to your account.
Winning Bidder
How do I know if I'm the winning bidder?
Once the auction has closed, you have 7 days to check your bid status and exercise your right to purchase the product at the unique bid price plus any carriage cost.
It is your responsibility to check your status of bids, not Bid4Golf's, and we accept no responsibility if the bidder does not check the status of their bids.
What happens if the winning bidder does not purchase the product within the 7 day period?
If the winning bidder who has the right to purchase the product does not pay for it within the 7 days, we will publish the new lowest unique bid on the website. The second awarded bidder will also have 7 days to purchase the product.
Does the winning bidder have to buy the product?
No they do not.
If l win, what price do l pay for the product?
You pay the amount that you have bid plus any transportation costs, for example:
Prize value £995.00
Your bid price: £1.01
Transportation cost: £5.00
Total cost to pay: £6.01
This is irrespective of the retail value of the product.
If l bid and do not win, do l have to pay the price that l bid?
No, only the winner has to pay the bid price if they want to take the product.
If I am the winning bidder, how do I purchase the product?
To purchase the product you need to log in to your account and click on the Buy link on your closed auctions page. You can pay by credit card or debit card. You cannot use your credits to pay for this and all payments must be made within the 7 day period after the auction closes.
Does the winning bidder pay transport costs for the products?
Yes they do if transportation costs are applicable; the cost for each product will be posted on the website.
What is the delivery time of a purchased product?
You will receive the product within 28 days of payment.
Can l get the product delivered anywhere in the world?
Yes, the delivery price shown is for delivery anywhere. You are responsible for paying for any customs and excise duties or taxes that may be due. Bid4Golf accept no responsibility for this.
Other information
Do the products have guarantees?
Yes, they are new and have manufacturers' guarantees.
Can a company or manufacturer place their products on Bid4Golf.co.uk?
Yes. A company can offer its products by contacting Bid4Golf.
Can the bidders on the website contact other bidders through Bid4Golf?
No, all the information held by Bid4Golf is confidential and will not be released to any other bidder on the website.
